Melville Intermediate - CPA 2012

Melville Intermediate Schools CPA is the Cultural Performing Arts Group.  Each year the group puts in a huge amount of practise and rehearsals before their end of year tour.  This year is no exception, the group has been practising once a week for two and a half hours, and also held practises these holidays.  This footage was shot during rehearsals at school in the second to last week of term three 2012,  by Ryan from Room Five - we had a mufti day which is why the students are in different uniforms.

We also thought that it would be a good time to share with you some of our performance videos from past years, this is our CPA Performance from 2011 at Wintec

  1. Dear Melville intermediate room 5 class,

Great job on your practice rehearsal. I think your performance is going to look great. keep up the good work. How long have you been practicing? What culture does your dance represent? What are you singing about?

Thanks so much for your comment and we will get one of our CPA members to reply on your class page. But to quickly answer your questions - the group practises all year, the dance represented is Maori and Samoan.
