Melville Intermediate - CPA in Auckland Part 3
This Video is of us practicing for 2 hours on the first night at the Marae. Our practice was 2 hours long because the next day we had Pacifica and we needed to rock the stage and leave with everyone stunned.

Melville Intermediate - CPA in Auckland Part Two
Papatoetoe Primary School was the only stop until we reached Auckland. I just couldn't wait until the Powhiri! We sped through our dances and every second we performed for the Papatoetoe students and teachers were tuned in with smiles of excitement.

Melville Intermediate - CPA 31st October
Today the Melville Intermediate School CPA (Cultural Performing Arts) group had an incredibly busy day. They started off with a performance at the front of Melville Intermediate School for a group of special guests that are at Melville Intermediate School today and tomorrow. Then it was straight onto the bus, in costume for performances at two early childhood centers! The first performance, part of the Maori section is captured here which is the opening Maori section of the performance.
Then it was onto the bus again for the next show. Part of that is shown here, which is the Samoan section of the performance. These events were all filmed by Joey from Room Five on Wednesday 31st of October 2012.

Melvlle Intermediate - CPA at Te Pahu Primary
Our hands were sweating, our teeth were chattering, it was almost time to perform to Te Pahu Primary School. We were all standing on the stage in our Maori costumes, waiting to unleash our pukana. Simon bursted out the command that started our entire performance, and that's when it all begun!
We all went from nervous to excited. From then on, we were all strong in our performance. When we finished our Maori section, we rushed off stage to zoom into our Samoan costumes. The girls performed their Siva and then the boys came on and we all performed the sasa. We finished our Samoan section, and had to once again zoom into our Hawaiian Costumes. During our short changing times, our Hawaiian teacher, performed a few dances of her own. It was time to go on stage again. Our first dance of the section, was a big hit, but the second was even bigger! We exited the stage with a round of applause from Te Pahu primary.

Melville Intermediate - CPA 2012
Melville Intermediate Schools CPA is the Cultural Performing Arts Group. Each year the group puts in a huge amount of practise and rehearsals before their end of year tour. This year is no exception, the group has been practising once a week for two and a half hours, and also held practises these holidays. This footage was shot during rehearsals at school in the second to last week of term three 2012, by Ryan from Room Five - we had a mufti day which is why the students are in different uniforms.
We also thought that it would be a good time to share with you some of our performance videos from past years, this is our CPA Performance from 2011 at Wintec

Melville Intermediate - CPA as part of school show!
All year our famous Cultural Performing Arts Group (CPA) have been rehearsing preparing for their end of year performances. We have had a strong cultural group that has in the past few years performed throughout the country and in Australia. This year there are again a series of cultural sections, Maori, Cook Island, Samoan and Hawaiian. As part of our 2012 School Musical Production 'Clowning Around' the CPA performed the Samoan Sasa in full costume, if you were there on September 6th you would have been in awe of the performance, if not, then you are able to view the highlights of that performance, filmed by Nick from Room Twelve, assisted by Mannish from Room Five.
