Melville Intermediate - Technology Winner
The prize for guessing what the students made in Woodwork goes to Mrs Heatons Class in South Carolina, USA. The correct answer was of course a bird feeder.
Very exciting. I am forever entering students into all kids of contests...this was fun because it was overseas. Nice job on the bird feeders. We don't have woodworking in our schools. I remember having "shop" in my intermediate school growing up (we call them middle schools here in the US) but I haven't seen "shop" offered since then. I think that is unfortunate considering using tools is such an important skill and you can make cool things like your bird feeders!
