Melville Intermediate - Bianca and Elizabeth in School Gardens

In the tour of the Gardens, we showed a baby tree, some fresh Eggplant and some strawberries waiting to be blood red and ripe! The water tank we showed collects all the rain water from the gutters and recycles it so we can use it. Elizabeth, Bianca and Jamie Tuesday 6th March 2012.

  1. Wow, I am so impressed with your vegetable garden. Our school is new so we are still doing research about how to go about it. We would love some advice.

  2. @ Mr Wood - Yes we are very excited to watch as your class page progresses, and nice to see you being there from the start with your school too. We'd love to be able to give some advice about your garden, perhaps we should Skype each other classrooms?
@ Bianca and Elizabeth - your video was quite short and while I liked it I think you could have included more details and information in your presentation. Are you sure the water from the tank is used to wash hands? Can you check with a Enviro Agent.

  3. Yes! I would love to know more about how you use the recycled water... What is an Enviro Agent? Sounds almost top secret! I would love to set up a garden at our school but we really have no space for it.

  4. @ Mr Wood your school is so new but I was very fortunate to see some footage from a meeting held at your school recently the workspace looked amazing. We are really lucky as a school that has been in existence for more than fifty years that we have a lot of established gardens and trees.
@ Ms Bee - Enviro Agents are the students from our class who do the important tasks around school involving the environment.
