This video was created by Kayla and Icis from Room Five and features an interview with Mr Cooke, the Melville Intermediate School Principal about of School Canteen (Tuck Shop) what money is raised by selling food to the students and what that money is used for. This is the students first video for 2012 and we will be watching it and assessing it in class tomorrow. Filmed by Icis on Friday 17th February 2012.
Hi! Kayla and Icis,
ReplyDeleteI think your first video was great. I am sure you will some more editing features as you make more videos.
I liked how there was a lot of information from your principal about how your school canteen works. I really like how the Canteen Team gets to help decide where the money should go.

I enjoyed watching the video and learning about your canteen. We have something similar, but it is run by adults with student help and it is only on Fridays.

Good to see the Principal Tucking in. Another great blogging post initiative. Has got me thinking about options for student directed social action.
ReplyDeleteYour video about the school canteen was so interesting to me!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, we don't have such a thing as a school canteen here in the United States. I think it's a great idea for students to be responsible for running a canteen
Second, your principal is dressed much more casually than ours. The principals of our schools are required to wear a tie and jacket at all times. I'm sure they would envy your principal!
