Melville Intermediate - Maori Language Week

As were continuing to look back on highlights from Te Reo Maori for Maori Language Week there's three examples that spring to mind. The first is Room Fourteen's Matariki take on 'Boy' this video was made by the students of Room 14 with Whaea Faith earlier this year. It was filmed by Tyler and inspired by the movie "Boy".

The next is our collaboration last year with Hackham East Boys School in Adelaide Australia. The students there performed a Haka at the Adelaide Students Choir Festival, they performed with assistance from their tutor but we were able to help in a series of videos that gave some tips and some help with their performance. This video created by Destin and Cleveland was one from the series!



Finally at Melville Intermediate our Cultural Performing Arts Group (CPA) are currently preparing very hard for shows later this term. Our school had a series of shows last year culminating in a trip to Australia, just before they left they performed at our school, one of the highlights of that show was the Kapahaka section you can view this video below:
