Clowning Around is the Melville Intermediate School Production for 2012.  It is taking place in three short weeks here at Melville Intermediate School and it features nearly 1/3 of the students in the school.  We are lucky enough to have six students featured significantly in the show and can't wait!

Melville Intermediate - First Day of Winter

June 1st marks the first day of Winter in New Zealand.  To celebrate we sent out Elizabeth and Icis with a camera to take some pictures of some of the changes and look at nature at Melville Intermediate School.

Melville Intermediate - Digital Photo Challenge Groups Three and Four

As part of Options on Thursday afternoon students can take electives in a variety of subjects that interest them. One of the groups is the Digital Photography Class that is taken by our Principal, Mr Cooke. On Thursday last week the students created a series of photos from four categories "Library at MIS (where the challenge started), Students of MIS, Famous Icons/Locations at MIS and Odd" Students had ten minutes of planning followed by 15 minutes of photography and then five minutes of editing. Melville Intermediate - Thailand Exchange Students

Currently at Melville Intermediate School we are very fortunate to be hosting students from another country. Already we have had visits from Japan (twice) and now we have a group of students from Thailand in class. Today they went with Shania and Kelly from Room 8 and took photographs around Melville Intermediate School.

Melville Intermediate - Scavengar Hunt

Today's task for students from Room 8 is to take the classroom digital camera and to take the following photographs from locations around Melville Intermediate School. You will have a restricted time to do so and need to repeat the photographs so they match as closely to the original as possible! Good luck this is not going to be as easy as it seems!
