On Wednesday the 14th Activity week started. The people in
the group were Cody, Nathan, Morgan, Ryan, Deighton, Damien, Dominick and me.
My activity was Melville film festival. At 8.40 we had to go outside the music
room to meet up. When we were inside Mr. Bell explained what we were doing.
First we had to make an ad and storyboard it. We choose to do our ad on
headphones so we went outside to film. The plan was that Cody was going to walk
up to headphones and put them on then his friends would come up and share the
headphones around. Then Damien would explain the price and where to get it.
Then Dominick and I started to edit it which went very well. Mr. Bell even made
a scary remix of it. Then we had to make the real movie which we decided was
going to be about zombies. We went to film the first scene which was when
Deighton the scientist made the zombie formula and Morgan spilt it causing the
apocalypse. Then Morgan Dominick and I edited it in imovie HD we added some
cool effects like fog and lighting sound effects. Mr. Bell taught us how to use
imovie HD before. After the 2 days past we had our movie and food. The movie
was men in black 3 which I hadn’t seen before and the food was pizza timtams
juice coke and chips. I had lots of fun at the Melville film festival I would
defiantly do it again and my friends would say the same.

Melville Intermediate - Brae's PrEP Recount
On the 26th of October our school had PrEP Market Day. When I got to school my Mum and I went to Room Five and put our stuff on the bench. Then I saw Brent with the spoons. After me and Brent had a talk, Nathan came and we waited for Ryan which took ages. When he finally came we started to set up the stall. So we dragged the desks through the door and made our stall. Then I put the ingredients on the table and PrEP started. We stood there for a while and some Japanese students came and brought some Sherbet. They wanted different flavors but Nathan just gave them the same one. We also sold them to some little kids that thought that the slushies were really cold but I warned them. We sold a lot and at the end of PrEP had 820 MISMS in the bag. At the end of PrEP we had to clean up a huge mess from the slushie machine. After the clean up we were tired, but we had fun and it was a good day.

Melville Intermediate - Braes Programming Recount
Programming
On Friday the 12th of August we had
options. First we had a talk in room 5 and then went down to the computer room.
I started to play around with scratch (a game making program). Nathan and I
budded up to make a game. We made these jet pack guys and customized them. Mine
was red and had cool shades. Nathan’s was a weird blue green colour with a red
hat. We made a background Nathan wanted it to look like frizzle fraz (a game)
so I drew some green hills and a clear blue sky with some clouds. The game was
missing a lot of things so I made some platforms to land on also I added these
spinning spikes to protect a locked door. The game looked cool but it needed
points so I made points and a key to unlock the door. So then Nathan and I
tested it and it was fantastic. I just need to add more levels and it would be
perfect.
