Melville Intermediate - Rippa Rugby Game Highlights

On May 18th around ten people from Melville Intermediate School went to Flagstff to play in the Waikato regional Rippa Rugby tournament. When we arrived we were very nervous but we decided that we were still not going to back down. Our first game occurred, the whistle went and we were on our way playing against Putaruru College. After a hard game we lost, but we still held our heads up high. All the games were hard on the day, there were no easy teams. In the final we had to play against Matamata Intermediate School, and although they defeated us, our 'B' team finished as runners up in the competition which means that we make it through to the next stage of the competition, the Tri-Nations finals which is three days after we get back from our Winter Olympics sports camp.
