Melville Intermediate - Room 7's Dance Videos

Melville Intermediate Room 8 aren't the only class with a class page. Room Seven's been doing some wonderful work recently and one of the things the Year Eight students at Melville Intermediate have been doing is practising for the school ball. This video shot by Room Seven is of them rehearsing some of the dances and was shot today. You can visit their wonderful page by clicking on the link here.

  1. Hello all!
My name is Kristen Hayes and I am a student at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL. I was assigned your class blog to comment on. This video was really cool. I think it's awesome the class is doing this dance lesson to prepare for the school ball. With the music being modern, I can see how the students are having as much fun as it seems. My school didn't offer this, but I wish it did. What else does your school offer outside of the class room? Great video and dancing, keep it up!!

  2. Hi Students
My name is Lawanna Hinton, a student at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL. Part of my assignment for my EDM 310 class is to comment on different student and class blogs throughout the semester. I enjoyed your video and think that it is great that you get to participate in ballroom dancing. When I was in the eighth grade we also had a dance, but it was called a prom. The girls wore fancy dresses and the guys wore tuxedos. We had lots of fun and I hope that you all have a great time also at your ball. I also enjoyed the blog as a whole and hope that the class continues to have fun with blogging and learning.

  3. Hello I am Edward Hughes and I am in John Stange's EDM 310 class. I watched your video and I thought about how many people don't know how to dance and how this is a good lesson to teach the students. Most teachers are too strictly attached to idea that the need to prepare the student for college or a career and most of the time and not allowing them to try things like the arts such as, music, dance, and theater. I think what you are doing is a wonderful thing.

  4. Hello, I am a student in Dr. Strange's EDM310 class at the University of South Alabama. I wish I could join you all! This looks like so much fun! Not only that, but this is a wonderful way to become more cultured, by learning dances that aren't mainstream. Great video!
