Melville Intermediate - Traditional Maori Instruments
The group of Room Eight students who have been working with Matua Hone today were able to play a series of traditional Maori instruments. These are the results.
Thank you for posting the video,it was interesting to see the Maori instruments. I really loved the putata, it must have been hard to learn to play that one - you had to have alot of puff. We would like to know what some of the instruments are made out of and how long it took you to learn to play them.
Hi! I'm a student at the University of South Alabama. I'm in EDM310 and Dr. Strange is my instructor. I really love this post because I absolutely love music. I actually play many instruments myself, none were the ones you played for me today though. You guys seem very talented in the instruments you've played, and made me want to try it myself. Keep up the good work!
I am a student at the University of South Alabama and I am in Dr. Strange's EDM 310 course. I am a music major, and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the students play the different types of Maori instruments. Keep learning about different music of different cultures. Great post!
