Melville Intermediate - Days of the Week in Maori

We're currently communicating with Schools around New Zealand and helping them with their understanding of Maori language. One of the schools were helping is Pukekohe East Primary in Counties (near Auckland). They've asked to help learn the Days of the Week in Maori and have been speaking to the students in one of our digital Maori Classrooms (Room Two). Today in ninety seconds (yes really) Raearna from Room Two recorded Kaea from Room Two going over the Days of the Week in Maori for PEP. Later in the week when they talk to Miss Morton and her class their going to go over them again and check how the students learning is going!

  2. I still think these lessons on language and culture you do are powerful learning examples. Not only are you helping people now learn this information, but the information will continue to be accessible for as long as your site is alive. Your record will help the culture continue to live.

  3. Thank you for your comments again on our class blog, they are always appreciated. On this video I was compelled to wonder, does 'Ra' roughly translate as day?
Also, I recognise the Libertines but who is the first snippet that you use?
