Melville Intermediate - Colours in Maori

Nga Tae - Colours in Maori.
On Friday we were lucky to have Matua Rawiri in class with his guitar. One of the focuses of the day was to make sure that the students knew how to say each of the colours in Maori. There is a traditional song that students mostly learn at Kindergarten which goes as follows:

"Ma is white, whero is red, Kakariki Green. Pango is Black, Mangu is Too, AEIOU".

  3. Hi Room 8, we learned a lot from your video. I didn't know that pango was black. Thank you for sharing that with us. From Amy, Max and Stella in Room 10 at Grey Lynn School.
