Melville Intermediate - Tawa Intermediate Quiz
This week in class as part of our Quadblogging we looked at questions for the other classes in our Quad. We decided to turn it on its head a little bit, in that we researched questions about Mt Pleasant School, Selwyn House School and Tawa Intermediate. We then researched the answers for the questions about the school and found if it applied. We also did the same thing but applied it to the cities that our Quadblogging buddies are from - Christchurch and Wellington. This meant that we were learning about our buddies, 'relating to others' and we finally looked online for a tool to publish our quiz questions with. Thanks to Stephen from the Ins and Outs who recommended Quiz Revolution. This quiz is about Tawa Intermediate and the city of Wellington.
Thanks to the students of Tawa Intermediate who pointed out the two questions that had mistakes in them, we thought that our information from the Internet was a hundred percent correct! We have fixed the original questions so that the Pool question is correct.

Melville Intermediate - R12 Class Item for Show
All of the students of Room Twelve were involved in Melville Intermediate School production, which was an amazing class performance. Those of you who were able to witness the shows, nearly 1200 of you, would have been amazed by the efforts of Mrs Wilson and her class. Those of you who didn't make it for the entire show, you can witness some of the wonderful highlights now. Filmed by Manish from Room Twelve, as Nick was up on stage on Thursday 6th September.

Melville Intermediate - Leana and Tara: Ave Maria
This term Melville Intermediate was invited to be part of a new student leadership scheme called Kia Tu. Initially forty student leaders were selected to undertake a training programme with a Leadership Facilitator. From this group a smaller team of student leaders were selected to represent Melville Intermediate on an organisation committee to organise and run a Waikato Intermediate Students Talent Quest. Parallel to this, a school wide Talent Quest was held to select seven student groups or individuals to go through to a series of regional heats, semi-finals and ultimately a final. Melville Intermediate were fortunate to be one of two schools who had two sets of contestants selected for the final, Kyla (Room Twelve) and Carter (Room One). This is footage of Leana and Tara singing in the Semi-Final with their version of the 'Ave Maria'. Filmed on Friday 30th March 2012 at Berkley Middle School by Veronica from Room Five.

Melville Intermediate - Y8 Prep: It's a Steal!

Unfortunately 'persons unknown' decided to break into Mr Webb's house on Friday night taking Room 8's digital imagery of the event, and along with the Room 8 Video Camera and all of our tapes from the last week and a bit!
We can't therefore post the material that we were hoping to, which is a shame, however if by chance someone in our area has found the tapes, or perhaps they turn up at some point as a result of a good Samaritan then we'll post the footage online as soon as possible. Its even possible given how many visitors to this site we get that someone may find the tape/bag etc and locate us through this post, which would be wonderful. Perhaps they could drop the school items in at Mount View Road, Melville, Hamilton.

Melville Intermediate - Term Three Positive Draw
Melville Intermediate Schools Positive Reinforcement of Students relies heavily on the end of term positive draw. Students who are role models for others during the term, or who give 100% during the term have a positive which they take home to parents and then are placed in the Y7 or Y8 draw bins for the end of term draw. This special assembly is a major event at the school where the students look for a chance to be rewarded for their great work throughout the term. This year term three's draw was hosted by Elijah and Summer. Filmed at Melville Intermediate School by Room 8's Arahia, Vitolina and Rachana.

Melville Intermediate - Basketball Champions Tribute
Over the last few days we've been busy in the background preparing some releases for our students, one is the talent quest DVD, the second is a DVD celebrating our Melville Intermediate Girls Basketball team winning the Girls title at the Nationals, Mr Webb has been mucking around with Photostory to compile some of the photo's taken of the team for the end of the DVD. This is what he came up with - to once again acknowledge the team and the wonderful spirit and team work that they showed from the event. Credit for this idea needs to go to the Tamaki College site where I saw it!
