Melville Intermediate - Celebrating Maori Language Week 2013
Morning room 5, This looks like so much fun. I wish I got to make a Maori flute I think that it would be so much fun. What was the hardest part of making the flute? How did you make it?
Abby, Selwyn House School, Christchurch, New Zealand
Since we had Maori Language Week last week, we had the Ambassadors(One of the leadership group) started the celebrations off at assembly with the presentation about Maori place names, vowels and proverb. -8C
Wow!! Thats so cool how long did it take you to make it? What are the note names? For maori week we sent out a quote each day.

That sounds like a lot of fun. I wish we did more for Maori Language Week at our school.

Hi I am Lili from 8C Happenings.
ReplyDeleteI have a question for you.
Did you carve the flutes yourselves?
I think that this is a very good and fun way to celebrate Maori Language Week.
