Melville Intermediate - Skyping with Broadlands School

On Thursday students from Melville Intermediate School Skyped with students from Broadlands School near Taupo. They are having a Marae visit this week and wanted an opportunity to practice their Mihi (greeting/introduction) with other students before their stay. We set up Arahia and Alkana from Room One in the library and they spent nearly an hour online with the students! This video contains some of the highlights from the conversation.

  1. We love skyping too. We skyped with a class in Wisconsin in the USA that we were communicating with through epals. It was so fun although they found us hard to understand because of our accent. I love the idea of recording your skype conversation, we will have to try that one. Maybe one day we could Skype with you guys. We also think that you should come on a class trip down to Waitomo and go to the caves - maybe we could be your tour guides. It's only 40 minutes away from you guys.
