Today Melville Intermediate had our second day of competition at the New Zealand AIMS Games Sporting Competition. We found out at the start of the tournament that this event is the biggest sporting event in New Zealand with over 3,800 compeditors in 14 sports. \The Melville Intermediate Boys Football continued their good results from yesterday with a 6-0 win against Tahatahi Coast School in Pool Play. The Girls Basketball team from Melville continued their unbeaten run in the competition defeating both Waihi College and Aqunias College. This means that Melville play for a Semi-Final spot tomorrow at 10:30am against Orewa College from Auckland. A win will see Melville advance to tomorrow afternoons semi-final against Rotorua Intermediate, Kura o te Koutu or Tauranga Intermediate, depending on results. Tomorrow is also the Hip Hop competition at Tauranga Intermediate, don't worry if you cant be there in person tomorrow on this page we will be publishing our Hip Hop teams routine!
