Melville Intermediate - Bianca's Stage Challenge!

As I arrived at Claudelands Event Centre at 7:00am I walked through the doors and I saw all of my friends. We all headed into our changing room with our bags. The first school we saw was Hamilton Girls High School. We all put our bags under a table and we went into the Auditorium to watch the rehearsals. Girls High was up for their rehearsal first and we were up second. We all were in our t-shirts the we were given from Miss Kristen. We had to wear the shirts all day. For our rehearsal we weren't in costumes we were just in our t-shirts and pants, but there was lighting. We had three run through. After our run through we got to either go watch the other schools or go back into the changing room. There were 13 schools at the event. There was Stage Challenge and JRock. Once every school had done their rehearsals the teachers got up and danced around for a while. The teachers stood on a star to know when our school was going up on stage. We ended up last. All of the kids went back to their changing rooms where we just hung out and we met up with other kids or we could lie down and have a sleep. The show started at 7:00pm. Once our performance had finished everyone went out into the auditorium for the awards to be handed out. At the end we found out who came 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Huntly College came 3rd, Girls High came 2nd and we came 1st!!! It was a long day from 7:ooam - 11:30pm but we survived it all.

    Hi Rm 8

Well done for coming first place in the Bianca's Stage Challenge. I bet it was a good performance and you should have filmed it so we could see how great it was. We wish we could have been there to experience for our school production this year. How did you feel when you were doing the stage challenge?
