This morning we have had New Zealands most significant ever Soccer/Football result with a 1-1 draw with reigning World Champions Italy. It means New Zealand now have a chance of advancing through to the next stage if they beat Paraguay in their last pool game this week. Because of time difference the game kicked off at 2am here in New Zealand but it was a thrilling result for the national team. You can read a match report from a New Zealand perspective by clicking

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to "The All Whites" and to all of New Zealand! I watched the whole game and it was very exciting. The last 30 minutes were intense, as Italy was attacking ferociously. But The All Whites held them off and even had an attack or two of their own. What a great result!
Best of luck against Paraguay. I'll be watching and cheering for New Zealand. (We have a big game of our own this Wednesday against Algeria.)
