Melville Intermediate - Regional League Tag Champions

Yesterday the Melville Intermediate League Tag team travelled to Te Awamutu for the central regional finals for League Tag.  Teams from throughout Waikato and as far away as Taupo attended.  Melvilles team were unbeaten in pool play, had an incredibly narrow 4-3 win against Te Awamutu Intermediate 'A' in the Semi-Finals and then were able to win the tournament defeated Putararu College in the final 5-2.  An amazing performance from a fantastic Melville Intermediate School team.    Footage from the final was filmed by Matua Taua and Mr Stewart.

Melville Intermediate - Inter Intermediate Basketball Recount

On Tuesday the 24th of September the Girls and Boys Basketball teams from Melville Intermediate went to Te Awamutu for the Inter Intermedidate Tournament.  Our first game was against Fairfield Intermediate.  They didn't turn up so we had to verse people from other teams.   Our second game was against Morrinsville Intermediate, we won that game and in the end the score was 12-8.   We were able to ge those points in the last minute.  Our third game was against Berkly.  We lost by miles but still stuck in the game.  Our fourth game was against Matamata Intermediate and we defeated them.

Our semi-final was against Cambridge Middle School.  We won that game, but it was a close game, because they were undefeated and we beat them and the score was 15 to 12.   Now in the finals we had to verse Te Awamutu Intermediate.  At first we were in the lead but then Te Awamutu fought back and they were in the lead by one point.  In the last two minutes we got more points then the points came 20 to 17 to us, so 'hurray! to us!"

Melville Intermediate - Netball Vs. Te Awamutu Int. Y7

This video is highlights of Melville Intermediate Y7 students playing against Te Awamutu Intermediate Y7 students at the Inter Intermediate Waikato Netball Finals at Tokoroa which was held yesterday..  The filming is by Biancas Mum and was edited and put together by Bianca and Briar.

The Melville Intermediate Y7 Girls team had losses against Fairfield Intermediate 2-18, Cambridge Middle School 4-12, Te Awamutu Intermediate 2-13 and Morrinsville Intermediate 2-6.  Our warmest congratulations to Te Awamutu Intermediate who were victorious in the final against Tokoroa 12-7.

Melville Intermediate - Rugby League Vs. Te Awamutu Intermediate B

On Wednesday 10th July 2013 Melville Intermediate played their final pool game of the Waikato Boys Rugby League Nine a side competition.  A win and a loss from Melvilles first two games meant that this was a must win game for Melville to qualify for the Semi-Final.   Melville Intermediate are in the green jerseys with the red collars.  Te Awamutu Intermediate B are in the yellow and green jerseys.   Filmed by Cody from Room Five.

Peachgrove Intermediate Vs. Te Awamutu Intermediate

On Tuesday 19th March 2013 Melville Intermediate hosted the 2013 Waikato Inter Intermediate Touch Finals.  Our Girls team didn't make the finals but two incredibly strong teams did, Te Awamutu Intermediate and Peachgrove Intermediate.   It couldn't have been a better final as the two top teams battled it out.   The half time score was nil all, with both teams scoring once in the second half.  That left sudden death to decide the winners for 2013 and Reitu from Room Five was present with camera and recording the event.  From Swarbrick Park in Hamilton.

Melville Intermediate - vs. Te Awamutu Intermediate

Hi my name is Nichola and this is my friend Lesieli and we will be talking about basketball. On Tuesday the 16th of April we played a game at the ymca on pembroke street Melville vs Te Awamutu girls team. We had a very intense game there were alot of fouls. Each qurter got better and better by the minute. the score was 51-24 to us YaY!!

The Melville Intermediate Girls team have been playing on Tuesday nights in the Waikato Basketball Competition. The team has been unbeaten over the past eight weeks defeating a mixture of club teams and school teams of mixed gender. Last week Melville Intermediate were victorious in their Semi-Finals against the Flyers Sparks team, and this week in the pool final took on Te Awamut Intermediates Girls team. Last time these teams meet in pool play Melville won, but only by seven points (in a forty minute game). In the final it was close in the first quarter with Melville taking a 6-4 lead. Second quarter Melville tightened their defence to force a defensive shut out and take a 19-4 half time lead. Te Awamutu reducded it to a thirteen point deficit at the end of the third quarter, 18 to 31, before Melville pulled away in the last quarter of the match to win 51-24.
