Firstly, before you watch this video, make sure that you've watched video one and two in the series. The first video teaches you basic counting from one to ten in Maori. The second lesson in this series focussed on the absence of 'teen' numbers from Maori counting and covered how to get to twenty five. This lesson covers the numbers from 25 to 99. Its presented by Mackenzie and Hayze and was filmed by Shaylee. Filmed at Melville Intermediate 13th May 2011.

Melville Intermediate - Counting in Maori Part One
This is the first in a new series of videos entitled 'Counting in Maori'. Maori is a fantastic language to learn how to count in, as it has ten basic numbers which all the other numbers from 1 to 99 work off, so once you've learnt the numbers from 1 to 10 your nearly there. The new series of lessons are presented by Hayze and Mackenzie, two students from Room Eight, who were also responsible for this years Mihi videos, and furthermore are available to chat with your class using Skype to help tutor you with Maori Language! This video was filmed by Shaylee. The words will appear on screen but you need to practise the following:

Melville Intermediate - Counting in Maori
In this new series of videos Ora and Kaea take you through the process of counting in the Maori Language. In the Maori language the key numbers are one through ten (which the video for will be uploaded tomorrow). There are no 'teen' numbers like in English so 'Eleven' is ten plus one. This is explained by the students so listen carefully to the pronunciation. Filmed at Melville Intermediate on Tuesday 14th December 2010.
