On the 27th of March 2012 the year 8 girls at Melville Intermediate school went on a self defense course.
It was a day and a half course of learning how to get out of an attack from a bigger, stronger and older adult.
It was a really fun experience and all the girls really enjoyed it. We played 5 games and learned to kick, punch and many more escapes for these situations. Our teachers name was Alison and she was really nice, she read us articles out of the newspaper about people who got out of difficult situations, most of the people who were attacked were only little kids.
