Melville Intermediate - Y8 Prep: It's a Steal!

Yesterday students of Melville Intermediate School had their Y8 Prep Market Day, when we had over forty stalls run by the students selling goods. Our Y7 students were the consumers and had a thrilling time. We had Room Eight students filming the entire event that ranged from Pony Rides at the My Little Pony Stall to Poi's to Confectionery to Jewellery and lots more. We had a huge amount of footage to post.

Unfortunately 'persons unknown' decided to break into Mr Webb's house on Friday night taking Room 8's digital imagery of the event, and along with the Room 8 Video Camera and all of our tapes from the last week and a bit!

We can't therefore post the material that we were hoping to, which is a shame, however if by chance someone in our area has found the tapes, or perhaps they turn up at some point as a result of a good Samaritan then we'll post the footage online as soon as possible. Its even possible given how many visitors to this site we get that someone may find the tape/bag etc and locate us through this post, which would be wonderful. Perhaps they could drop the school items in at Mount View Road, Melville, Hamilton.

  1. This sounds like a great day. We have a Fair Day where all classes run some sort of stall - that's good fun too.

What a shame that it had to end with such a negative experience though! I hope you somehow recover the footage of your Market Day.

  2. Dear Room 8,

It sounds like you had a wonderful Market Day! Congratulations to all the students!

Sad report about the theft. I cannot believe people would do such a thing! Perhaps someone will do the right thing and we will have a happy ending to this story.

  4. Another great activity from Melville. You all do such wonderful things!

It truly is sad that you had some of your memories stolen :-(, but hopefully you will create many new ones the rest of the school year.
