Classroom page of Y7/8 at Melville Intermediate School, Hamilton, Waikato, NZ. (Formerly Room 8@ Melville Intermediate School). 2009-2013. This site is now closed.
This slide show is an introduction to Melville Intermediate School (and New Zealand) for those of you taking part in the blogging challenge and wanting to know a little bit more about our school.
Jade and room 8, What a great way to introduce your school to your new blogging friends around the world.I need to learn how to make slideshows like that to use in the class blog and with my students. My tough question is how do I embed them in the blog?
It is very easy to embed into a blog using voicethread or authorstream. Authorstream allows you to make a powerpoint with voiceovers and you can embed that directly into a blog (I did that with some student animal reports). It took me longer to look for a site that could convert the powerpoint into an embedable link then actually doing it (once I found the site). I was shocked at how easy it was. I love the school tour by the way. It gave me something to picture when I visit your blog. I hope to have something up on our site soon that is very similar.

You might try going to Youtube and see what html code they use for "embed" there, and plug in the file (once you upload it somewhere).
